The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) conducted a study of former marines, employees, and dependents who were exposed to the toxic water at Camp Lejeune. ATSDR was able to confirm the connection between exposure to the contaminated water at Camp Lejeune and an increased risk for bladder cancer.
